A growing Food Products manufacturing and distribution company in Lagos is looking for highly competent and experienced people to fill the following vacancies.

1. Job Title: Production Manager/Factory Engineer
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

– Ability to handle large projects, and will be responsible for all regulatory and safety compliance
– Liaise with OEMs for design, production and installation of equipment
– Ensure compliance and certification standards organizations – ISO, SON etc
– Develop/Review the Standard Operating Procedure/Policy for the factory operations
– Prepare all technical reports necessary to ensure smooth and seamless operations
– Ensure production optimization at all times
– Continually develop and review strategies to improve output and minimize cost
– Regular preparation of financial budget

Requirements

– First degree in Mechanical Engineering
– Additional qualifications and certifications are added advantage.
– Project Management experience and certifications also added advantage
– Minimum of 8 years post NYSC experience, and must include minimum of 5 years in direct management/leadership experience in a Food and Beverage Company (Focus of dry packaged foods)
– Must have an understanding of engineering drawings and principles
– Experience in handling vendors and contractors.
– Must be Computer literate and versatile in engineering and office applications
– Must have good communication skills and hands-on technical and problem solving skills.
– Ability to manage large team and diversity
– Ability to adhere to budget and schedule constraints is key
– Must be able to provide technical support for machines
– Awareness of health and safety legislation and Ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental laws and regulations.
– Must have ability to manage a varied workload.
– Ability to work quickly and under pressure.

2. Job Title: Head, Research & Development and Quality Control
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities:
– Communicating with relevant parties regarding food quality and safety concerns.
– Creating new formulations and improving the existing.
– Working on new products from conceptualization to launch.
– Continuous Research and Development for new cost-reducing manufacturing processes that meet consumer and regulatory requirements.
– Updating product information sheets for sales preparation and updated labels.
– Recording, analyzing and summarizing research data.
– Coordinating independent laboratory testing to ascertain quality.
– Updating and maintaining MRP system.
– Adhering to GMP and other safety regulations.
– Performing other duties assigned by supervisor.

Food Scientist Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry or related field.
– Additional qualifications and certifications are added advantage.
– Project Management experience and certifications also added advantage
– Minimum of 8 years post NYSC experience, and must include minimum of 5 years in similar role in a Food processing company
– Must be Computer literate and versatile in office applications
– Ability to use internal and external sources to make technical scientific advances.
– Proven ability of working in a laboratory.
– Knowledge and understanding of data science.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Awareness of health and safety regulations and Ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental laws and regulations.
– Must have ability to manage a varied workload.
– Ability to work quickly and under pressure.
