We are looking for an experienced Accountant with analytical and critical thinking skills to join our team

Job Title: Account Officer
Job Description: An Accountant is responsible for preparing accounts, budgeting and managing financial information. In addition to analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this position:

Controlling of financial policy and formation of planning
Evaluating financial operations to recommend the best practices, identifying issues and  strategizing solutions
Preparing the budget
Monitoring spending and budgets
Offering guidance on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization
Prevention of errors and frauds
Preparing accounts and tax returns
Auditing and analyzing financial performance
Conducting financial forecasting and risk analysis assessments
Ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Compiling and presenting financial and budget reports
Keeping account books and systems up to date

Key skills needed for this position:
Analytical skills
Numerical skills
Time management
Advanced Excel ability
Tech savvy and detail-oriented
Expertise in big data analysis, advanced modeling techniques and SQL.
Knowledge of business intelligence software (e.g., IBM Cognos)
Microsoft Visual Basic capability

Location: VI Lagos
Salary: 150-200k
