The role of Business Development Manager is to supervise and lead operations and income generation.
Performing a range of tasks to ensure productivity and efficiency including implementing business
strategies, evaluating performances and supervising employees at the KAP Film Village, Studio and Resort.
Act as liaison between the KAP Film Village, Studio and Resort, and National, State, Local and International Tourism agencies, ministries, and organisations, proposing mutual beneficial areas of partnership and collaboration in film making, movie premiers, film festivals and hospitality purposes.
Research cultural agencies to collaborate in promoting Art and Culture, using the KAP Film Village, Studio and Resort as a rallying point.
To promote KAP Film Village, Studio and Resort as the foremost hospitality destination not just in Nigeria, but Africa by emphasising its unique selling points of traditional, earthly, serene, and safe location.
To budget and plan the expenditure of various business projects at the KAP Film Village, Studio and Resort.
Researching corporate organizations and individuals to find new opportunities and partnerships for team bonding, international excursions, and exhibitions at the village.
To research, plan and implement appropriate annual business and marketing plans for KAP Film Village, Studio and Resort.
Networking with related business and fostering B2B relationship that would bring about intended growth.
Develop and maintain systems for budget monitoring with an overview of events and costs.
To develop an effective community involvement process and work with community partners to
provide a comprehensive approach to community engagement in areas of local collaboration such as involvement and sponsorship of local film festivals, cultural days etc.
Developing proposals for potential clients.
To deploy new growth levers for KAP Film Village, Studio and Resort and have a strategic role in developing a long-term vision for the Hub while at the same time rolling out tactics to rapidly conquer new film, hospitality, and tourism markets.
Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management.
MBA is an added advantage
Proven working experience in Business Development, Marketing, or similar role
Previous experience in the business of film or media is an added advantage.
Proven ability with financial and budgetary processes
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Prior experience of business, bid writing, income generation and supervision of staff.
