TITLE/POSITION: Business Development Manager

ROLE SUMMARY/ PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
My client owns a professional service company duly incorporated to provide quality and professional services to the Oil and Gas, and Allied Industries in Nigeria. We are an engineering and procurement company committed to providing the most innovative, cost-effective, quality, and technological service that provides competent and reliable solutions by exploring our environment, current technological breakthroughs, training, and commitment to our vision at the same time not compromising with international safety standards. The business development manager will be responsible for generating business leads, handling procurement and sourcing of items needed by clientele, managing existing stakeholders, building sustainable business structure for the company, handling company registrations and certifications where necessary, ensuring smooth daily business operations of the company, and most importantly drive revenue for expansion.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, and generate new business leads
• Ability to source items both locally and online to meet client demands
• Follow up on old business leads
• Ensure proper company registrations and certifications are done.
• Functions as a support to the MD on daily business operations
• Ability to carry out tasks independently with little or no supervision
• Available to make travel on short notice when required by all means of transportation (Air, Land, Water).
• Keep abreast of changes and trends in the industry
• Excellent research abilities
• Excellent communication both Verbal and written
• Proactive and creative mindset
• Keep abreast of changes and trends in various industry
• Synthesize current business intelligence data to produce reports and polished presentations highlighting findings and recommending changes where necessary.
• Participate in requirement meetings and data mapping sessions to understand client needs.
• Must have great negotiating skills

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION/ SKILLS:
• A degree (B.Sc/HND) in marketing, finance, business administration, or related fields.
• Must have about 3-5 years of proven work experience in the required role.
• Strategic planning, Managerial and organizational skills.
• Persuasive communication skills.
