Plating Commis Chef (Commie III) Fruits and Veg Prep Commie III Chef at Woodlands Manpower
Responsibilities
 Prepares the section and ensure everything needed in put in place before work commences
 Assist in portioning of meals according to customer specifications and food safety guidelines and as instructed by superiors
 Carry out cleaning of work area as work progresses by adopting a clear as you go method
 Comply with portioning and plating control policy and standards at all times
 Ensure the fridge, table-top, shelves and portioning station is always kept clean
 Support superiors in carrying out all plating functions in compliance with HACCP procedures, good hygiene and production practices
 Take record of handling time and temperature of all meals plated at the beginning and end of the process
 Cover, label and store decanted products as directed
 Cling film, colour code and properly store all bulk items
 Practice proper grooming, personal hygiene, and use safety equipment
 Overall compliance with all company standards, food safety requirements, health, safety and environment procedures in execution of all plating functions
 Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef Départie, Chef -in- Charge and Executive Chef

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
 Minimum 1 year’ experience in airline hospitality or related fields
 Knowledge of food plating and presentation techniques
 Certificate of competence or equivalent in culinary or related courses
 Working knowledge of food safety service and procedure
 Basic communication skills
 Shift availability
