Technical Intern

2 MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The main purpose of the job is to provide laboratory support to the company Bogaru Labs and other sub-divisions of the company (Bogaru Metals, Bogaru Processing and Bogaru Mining Ventures).
3 PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
 Maintain workstations for other colleagues when necessary.
 Prepare samples for testing using various laboratory equipment.
 Maintain all laboratory records.
 Comply with the correct procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations.
 Conduct laboratory tests, analyze results, and document your findings.
 Stay informed with the latest industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
 Document all activities, results and report back to management.
 Clean and sterilize equipment and work area.
 Collect and prepare research and information needed for studies.
 Classify and label samples.
 Maintain work area and equipment.
 Provide administrative assistance.
 Follow methodologies in carrying out routine tasks.
 Perform laboratory tests including pre- and post-analytic phases.
 Produce accurate and reliable data and interpret results.
4 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5.1 Education and knowledge
 Geology, Mining, Geo-sciences or related field
 Knowledge of modern office procedures
 Knowledge of testing precious metals is an added advantage
5.2 Experience
 Experience working in a precious metals testing laboratory is an added advantage

 Strong communication skills
 Ability to multitask
 Flexible
 Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
